Meet Heather

Welcome — I’m Heather Comer, LCSW
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Texas, and I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate overwhelming emotions—whether that’s anxiety, depression, trauma, or even a sense of emptiness that’s hard to put into words. I specialize in creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where healing, growth, and self-understanding can unfold.

Of course, being a therapist is just one part of who I am. I’m also a wife, a mother, a friend, and a dedicated scrapbooker who tends to stay up too late because I’m a night owl by nature. Like many of the clients I work with, I have a story—one that has deeply shaped the work I do and the way I show up for others.

Originally from rural North Carolina, I’ve lived across the country due to my husband’s career, eventually landing in Texas in 2011. It was here that I finally pursued a lifelong dream: going to college and earning both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work. I didn’t always know I would become a social worker—I just knew I wanted to help people heal from trauma, just as someone once helped me.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin, you don’t have to face it alone. I’d be honored to walk with you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery.

Experience

After earning my Master’s degree in Social Work in 2018, I began my clinical journey working for a nonprofit agency supporting young children and their families within the school setting. During that time, I also had the opportunity to gain valuable experience in private practice, providing therapeutic services to individuals across the lifespan. These combined roles allowed me to build a strong clinical foundation rooted in empathy, collaboration, and trauma-informed care.

In 2024, I transitioned into private practice full-time—fulfilling another dream of mine: creating a therapeutic space where individuals feel safe, empowered, and supported in their healing process.
